While I'm no longer a big fan, I'm surprised that KISS is not in the hall.  I think it's a glaring weakness. 

I don't know if he's eligible yet, but Stevie Ray Vaughan should be in.

Artists become eligible for induction 25 years after the release of their first record.

Eric Clapton was inducted in 2000. Good call on Stevie Ray vaughn. SRV is a glaring ommision. Looks like the ROCK & ROLL HOF has become another PC casualty. They were accused of fixing the vote in 2007 to get a rap act inducted. What does Grandmaster Flash have to do with Rock & Roll? Answer: I don't know but they are in the ROCK & ROLL HOF. After looking at the list of members, I want to add Wilson Pickett. Why isn't the Wicked Pickett in?

Correction: Wilson Pickett was inducted in 1991. Good thing too. I was about to go off about that!

Update on EC. The Yardbirds were inducted in 1992. Creem was inducted in 1993. Clapton as a solo artist in 2000.

Z Z Top was inducted in 2004, so you got 1 of yours in Retro! Gotta agree with you about Rush deserving induction too.

Forgot about ZZ making it; checking up on Wiki right now about who all made it, and thinking who should be in; Duran Duran ought to be in, as should Three Dog Night and Jim Croce.  And if Mellencamp can make it, Bon Jovi should too.  And Bryan Adams.  And Robert Palmer, and Steve Winwood (as a solo artist).

I for one an glad The Dave Clark Five is finally in. Last year's debockle putting Grand Master Flash in took any credibility away from the Hall. It was as bad as the Roy Jones Jr. Olympic judging in Korea, total Bullsh1t. The sad thing that Mike Smith just passed 5 days before the induction, had those asshats gotten it right to begin with, he might have had that accolade with him when he died. Now it is posthumorous, too little too late, they did not atone for last year's fucup. It is the rock and roll HOF, what does RAP and Grand Master Flash have to do with Rock and Roll??? Okay maybe the Rap HOF or the Music HOF, but not the R&R HOF.

The guy who belongs is DIck Dale. Very underappreciated Guitarist who basically is largely responsible for the foam around the speakers. Dick used to blow up amps like the army blows up the desert. Interesting reading on dickdale.com, the man is a legend, saw him play in 2006 at a bar who seats 120, pretty amazing dude.
